So I'm half-heartedly doing NaNoWriMo. I'm not remotely close to the 1667 words/day average to get a 50k word manuscript done this month, but I'm getting at least a little something written each day, and it's all in one story, too.
Alas, the story isn't Strong Heart. Strong Heart is actually a 'practice' story I started to test out how writing a weblit serial would go before I attempted telling the story I really want to share. That story, the story of Eli, is the one I'm working on now. Strong Heart isn't abandoned, but I'm more enthusiastic about Eli's story than Jo's and Tobias' at the moment.
I wanted somewhere I could keep track of my (wimpy) daily wordcounts, because you can't improve if you can't tell what you're currently doing. That's what this post is for: I'm going to put the end-of-day word counts here so I have an easy place to find them, and on the off chance anyone else is curious.
Update: Eli's story has a title now, "The Elemental Magician."
From the beginning of November through the 12th, I wrote a net ~3070 words.
11/13 - 3565 net words
11/14 - 3672
11/15 - 3821
11/16 - 3853
11/17 - 3933
11/18 - 3933 (bad me, got distracted by world-building research)
11/19 - 4060
11/20 - 4365
11/21 - 4630
11/22 - 4960
11/23 - 5050 (broke 5000! And ended on an aesthetically pleasing number!)
11/24 - 5177
11/25 - 5458

I miss...
By Gudy... Jo and Tobias. But I'm looking forward to Eli, too.
So, basically, if you'll write it I'll read it.

When I start talking about the story, I miss Jo and Tobias too! I'm working on getting into a good writing habit, which will help with both stories
The break has actually been good for me, too, I've clarified some of the inter-character dynamics in my head.
